Yes, you can learn Mizo online. There are fewer resources than for big languages like Spanish or French, but you can learn the basics from home and practise them with native-speaker audio.

    What can you learn online?

    • The alphabet and pronunciation. Mizo uses the Roman alphabet, and only four letters are new for English speakers. See the Mizo alphabet guide.
    • Everyday words and phrases. Greetings, thank you, numbers, family, food and directions.
    • Simple conversations. Short dialogues you can listen to and repeat.

What is harder without a speaker?

Fast, natural conversation is hard to learn from a screen alone. Once you know the basics, talking with Mizo speakers, a partner, friends or family, helps you most.

    Why does audio matter?

Reading a word is not the same as hearing it. Learn with recordings by native speakers so you copy the right sounds from the start.

    How long does it take?

The LearnMizo course has 12 short lessons, from first words to everyday conversations. You can take one lesson every few days and keep your own pace.

    How do you start?

Begin with the free alphabet lesson and the free Lesson 1. No payment is needed, and you can see whether the course suits you before buying.

Hear it from a native speaker

Lesson 1 is free and needs no account. Every phrase is recorded by a native speaker, and you practise a full first conversation.
