    When will you need them?

Mizos are known for their hospitality, and a greeting often turns into an invitation for tea (thingpui). When that cup arrives, Ka lawm e is the phrase you need. Read more in Sacred Hospitality: Why Every Guest is Honored.

What about "please" and "I don't understand"?

Those belong to a set of survival phrases that every visitor to Mizoram needs: asking for help, asking someone to speak slower, saying you are lost. They are taught in Lesson 12 of the course, Polite & Survival Phrases.

Start with the free Lesson 1: it covers thank you, sorry and excuse me with native-speaker audio, so you can hear exactly how they sound.
